sea worthy things

The end of The Red Room Company's Sea Things odyssey - a round-the-country journey by sea, collecting original maritime poems by commissioned poets and members of the public at various ports - will be celebrated in Sydney this month. Pity I can't get there, the boat is leaking, the mast has split - but some of you easterners should get along. Sea Things 26th November 2009 6.00-7.30pm The Royal Australian Naval Sailing Association, Sir David Martin Reserve New Beach Road, Rushcutters Bay, Sydney Join the Red Room crew as they open the travelling duffle bags and their poetic cargo, direct from their final destination on Thursday Island! You'll get to see the screening of documentary footage from the project, and live performances by commissioned poets Petra White (VIC), Luke Beesley (QLD), Sandra Thibodeaux (NT), Graeme Miles (TAS) plus a guest from the Thursday Island community.
